They say that babies are
able to tell when they are full up, and therefore stop eating. I’m not sure
that this rule applies for Florence because on Sunday lunchtime she was sitting
in her highchair for one hour, ONE HOUR, just
grazing through her lunch.
Chris and I have bought another little under counter freezer because there just wasn't enough space for all of Florence's food in the others, which is quite ridiculous. However, of course I didn't stop when we had more space... I then filled the new freezer up with more delicious meals for Florence. Like previous, all of the meals are recipes from various Annabel Karmel books. When making this batch of food I made sure that it had a quite large lumps in so that she could get used to managing more textured food.
We introduced Florence to Red Meat in the middle of Week 9. You often hear that babies don't start off enjoying Red Meat as it has a richer flavor than other meats., but Florence enjoyed Beef Casserole (I'm starting to wonder whether there is anything that Florence won't eat!)
We also let Florence try Peanut Butter this week. There are mixed opinions as to whether you should give peanuts to a child under a certain age. However, seeing as neither of our families have a history of allergies we didn't see a problem. Of course, she loved it! (Yuk!)
Here is Florence's food diary for Week 9 -

*The Pasta Stars we use are from Boots! There is no reason for us giving Florence Gluten Free pasta, we just couldn't get hold of any normal small pasta.
**I used to make all of Florence's fruit Purées but we have just started to use Organix Fruit Pots. The pots are made from 100% pure organic fruit with no added nasties so I really don't mind giving them to her. They come in many different flavours for variation and Organix also sell pots with small fruit pieces to add texture!
