Weaning Diaries // Week 5

Florence has eaten so much this week, and she is really enjoying her breakfast now. I found that the single fruit purées were really difficult to feed her because they were very watery, and most of it would just drip out of her mouth because she couldn’t push it back. Since mixing the purées with yoghurt, Ready Brek, and Weetabix she is able to enjoy more fruit flavours, I’ve never seen her eat so much!

If you follow me in Instagram you would have seen that Florence tried her first piece of finger food this week! On Wednesday morning we gave her a slice of buttered toast. I wasn’t sure whether she would take to it but she really surprised us and done so well with it. She is yet to cut a tooth so she mostly just sucked on the toast, but she did try to chew and was able to swallow parts too. A lot of it ended up on the floor but that’s absolutely fine, it was her first experience and our Dog loved it!

She’s also doing well with her Munchkin Mesh Feeder. If she doesn’t have fruit with her breakfast then we always try to offer her some fruit in her feeder at lunch time.

Here is Florence’s food diary for week 5 -
